Obereggen - a paradise for hikers and climbers

Mayrl Alm is nestled in a sheltered dell at 2050 m beneath the peaks of the Latemar Mountain Group.
This well-known Alpine hut can be easily reached from within the car-free hiking area by taking the gently climbing Almstrasse from Obereggen or Pampeago.  
The Oberholz lift in Obereggen, the Latemar lift in Pampeago or the Gardonè-Passo Feudo lift in Predazzo bring hikers and climbers to the foot of the mountain, and from this starting point they may follow the many signposts erected along the rugged footpaths or use the iron walkways through the Latemar Mountain Group.

Mayrl Alm is well known for its great South Tyrolean cuisine and its fresh,
homemade cakes and apple fritters.
